Day 20-Rocky Mountain Love
Today Emma took us to Beaver Creek which is the lovely ski resort she works at, we then went to a quaint park and took a few pictures. It was a great day for sightseeing and it was beautiful!
Emma had to work at 3, so Anna and I decided to leave to go visit some very close family friends of mine in Basalt. We decided to take the scenic route of course! Independence Pass here we come! It was a gorgeous drive and we got to see the Continental Divide! Anna's first time and my second--so beautiful! We wanted to take a picture in front of the sign and this blue motorcycle was parked in front with an older couple wanting their picture taken with their motor cycle in the picture...seriously? So I said of course I'll take your picture if you will take ours...he said of course! We soon found ourselves forced on top of this man's motorcycle and he was snapping pictures. Well, sir...we didn't want a picture with your motor cycle we wanted a picture with just us! Ugh oh well-it's a funny story!
We then went down the other side of the mountain and went right into Aspen. We walked around and looked at the quaint town-beautiful! Colorado is as beautiful in the summer as it is in the winter...of course this is my opinion!
We got in the car and then drove to Glenwood Springs to meet up with the family friends! We went and ate dinner at Shannon's new house and had a great time! We had amazing food, great company...what can I say, I'm spoiled by good people in my life! What a great evening and day! Stay
Tuned for tomorrow's adventures!
