This will be my first attempt at blogging. I've had minimal encounters will blogs, but those encounters I have had have been positive. Let me tell you a little why I'm starting today-June 3rd, 2012.
My cousin Cara, lives in L.A. She works for Living Social and loves her job. I live vicariously through her stories of the action and people she has the privilege of working with day to day. I often hear her stories of the people she works with, what she does, etc. One story in particular has stuck with me. She told me a story about a gentleman who started going on every Living Social adventure they had to offer. This sparked Cara's interest and inquired as to why he was going on all of these adventures. The man said, when he turned 30 he decided he was going to do something that scared him every day. Now, I do not like being scared. In fact it is completely out of my comfort zone! So, I'm not sure if this blog will be about doing something that scares me everyday, but it will have some thing to do with a 365 day challenge. My Uncle Mark, has also accepted this challenge and he is on Day 20 of his "try something new everyday" and it is amazing to read all of the fun/different things he's already done in 20 days.
I have titled my blog, "Live Well, Love Much, Laugh Often" because I don't feel like we do this as often as we should. I know there are times when I get so caught up in the small things and start stressing that I miss out on the big picture. We only get one life. ONE LIFE...think about that! My challenge to myself throughout these 365 days is going to be a combination of things that put me to the test. I want to begin a healthier lifestyle. Not just the healthy lifestyle that comes with eating healthy (even though this will be a part of this) but also the healthy lifestyle of experiencing new things, challenging myself, learning what I can and cannot change, and becoming a more well rounded individual.
Today, the challenge was the fact that I actually started a blog. Journals have always been part of my life. I have to admit there are times when I refuse to write in my journal, because I don't want to look at/ think about what I'm feeling. I've heard that blogging can be a form of journaling, so now, instead of writing in my journal...I will type/reflect in this blog. Another thing I have not yet talked about is reflection. Going back to living a healthier lifestyle---I think reflection is a big piece of this-BRING IT ON!
Love it - can't wait to see where this adventure takes you!
